Adopt-a-Monkey Program
Adopt a wild capuchin monkey on Facebook
We are introducing an exciting new way to learn about the monkeys of Lomas Barbudal! Become Facebook friends with monkeys from Susan Perry’s many research groups and get to know them personally. You can receive status updates, photos, and video posts of your favorite monkey on Facebook, as well as stories of their most fascinating adventures from the past 25 years of Susan Perry’s research project. Please, considering donating to the Capuchin Foundation or UCLA’s Lomas Barbudal Monkey Project Fund to help this project continue.
Click on the photos below to learn more about each of our featured monkeys. Then adopt them all!
Note: We believe Pitufo is now deceased (at least, he has vanished from the study area), but we have kept his page up so that you can see his illustrious life story. Chaos and Dali are still alive and well.
Disclaimer:
These monkeys are completely wild. The researchers and assistants documenting these monkeys do not attempt to interfere with their natural behaviors and the behaviors of the other animals they encounter. Please note that life in nature is not always pleasant. If you are subscribing on behalf of your children, we recommend the “Kid Approved” content subscription in the drop down menu. Both versions of the Facebook subscriptions will receive the same amount of posts and insight into these characters’ lives, but some details and pictures will be censored that may too graphic for children.
